Hi! My name is Breanna. I currently attend the University of South Carolina-Aiken as a Biology major with a concentration in Pre-Veterinary Sciences. I am one of the Co-Directors for Community Outreach for YTP. After hearing about YTP at Key Club International, I became an Ambassador for over a year, and then moved up to the National Board. Having mental illnesses and having first-hand experiences with mental health issues, I feel as though it is imperative to not only eliminate the stigmas that evolve around mental health, but also to give young people the opportunity to speak about their struggles in a safe and accepting space. The Yellow Tulip Project not only allows me to become an advocate for mental health awareness, but it also allows me to create a bigger impact in my home, school, and community with my amazing team. I also personally love advocating for different societal issues such as racial, gender, and LGBT+ issues as well. I also love serving my community and I currently serve as USC Aiken Circle K President as well the Student Coordinator for IMPACT Community Service and I can’t want to integrate YTP into my community even more! Always remember that there is always hope! <3
