Hi! My name is Breanna. I currently attend the University of South Carolina-Aiken as a Molecular Biology major. I am one of the Co-Directors for Diversity and Equity! After hearing about YTP at Key Club International, I felt so moved by the movement that I knew that I needed to join! Having first-hand experiences with mental illness, I feel as though it is imperative to not only “Smash the Stigmas” that evolve around mental health, but also to give young people the opportunity to speak about their struggles in a safe and accepting space. The Yellow Tulip Project not only allows me to become an advocate for mental health awareness, but it also allows me to create a bigger impact in my home, school, and community with my amazing team. I also personally love advocating for different societal issues such as racial, gender, and LGBT+ issues as well.
