Anaïs DerSimonian combines a creative background in writing, filmmaking and media production with passion for youth mental health activism by serving as Executive Director at The Yellow Tulip Project. Holding a BA in both Screen Studies and Culture Studies from Clark University ’17, DerSimonian understands the importance of youth agency in narrative storytelling–and is fiercely dedicated to uplifting those voices in the pursuit of intergenerational and culturally competent mental health awareness. DerSimonian was formerly the Filmmaker in Residence at the Jacob Hiatt Center for Urban Education. In her free time, she enjoys making mood-based playlists and cooking elaborate dinners for her friends.
