On March 27, I led a youth mental health workshop at the Tompkins County Public Library in Ithaca, NY, and it was such a wonderful time! Young participants made their own storyboards which outlined their mental health journeys as well as their current moods and emotions, and they decorated them with a huge variety of art supplies from beads to glitter glue. After being presented with different questions and ideas that could relate to their own personal journeys, such as remembering a time when they had to ask for help from someone else, the participants made some amazing storyboards that beautifully visualized their deep emotions and dreams. I am really proud of everyone who participated, and I am so glad to have given the youth of my community an opportunity to get in touch with their feelings and make some pretty awesome artwork! I wholeheartedly look forward to leading similar programs soon as a Youth Ambassador.
