Meet Emma, a YTP Ambassador!

Emma YTP Blog

Emma, a sophomore from Vermont, has been an active member of her high school’s YTP club since freshman year. She’s passionate about spreading hope and smashing the stigma, participating in countless events—from fundraising at sports games to hosting lunchtime tabling, rock painting, and more. With big plans ahead, Emma continues to make a meaningful impact in her community!

Here’s Emma’s Story:

I became involved with YTP my freshman year through my school’s Yellow Tulip Club. From there, I began looking outside my school for ways I can impact the greater community, which for me, meant becoming an Ambassador.

Through my work with the Yellow Tulip Project, I strive to de-stigmatize mental health and all aspects surrounding it. I feel it is crucial to talk about mental health struggles and I will always be there for anyone in my community who needs a shoulder to lean on.

This year, I designed sweatshirts for our school’s Yellow Tulip Club. In my opinion, this is the most pivotal part of my journey with YTP and my intended impact on my community. Seeing messages of kindness and support for mental health awareness on sweatshirts on hundreds of kids serves as a powerful reminder that we are stronger together.
