Join us on Thursday, June 25th at 12noon ET in celebration of Pride month for our latest installment, “Let’s Talk: LGBTQIA2S+ Youth Mental Health” where we will connect with an incredible panel of mental health changemakers to:

  • Learn and build awareness about the unique challenges LGBTQIA2S+ youth are experiencing and the ways it negatively impacts their mental health.
  • Discover allyship as a verb and how you can take action.
  • Celebrate Pride month by learning from LGBTQIA2S+ changemakers

Panelist & Moderater Bios:

Taylor Locke (they/them), is an award-winning mental health advocate and international public speaker. From shaping community-based grassroots movements, to contributing to high-level policy reports with the UN, their work is centered on a decolonial model that promotes mental health equity and justice. They currently serve on:

  • The Lived Experience Advisory Board for PLOS Mental Health
  • The international Board of Management for aves Mental Health
  • 2026 Next Gen Advisor for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
  • The Lived Experience Advisory Group of United for Global Mental Health’s work on climate change and mental health policy
  • As an Ambassador for the Yellow Tulip Project.

Ysanne Bethel (she/they) loves supporting and amplifying the work of young leaders. A strong believer that everyone has their own change-making style, she enjoys supporting youth and adults in growing their unique leadership on the issues they are most passionate about. As young leaders continue to be at the forefront of important conversations about mental wellness and de-stigmatizing mental illness, Ysanne is excited to work alongside them as the Director of Youth Engagement at YTP.

Anaïs DerSimonian (she/her) is the Executive Director of The Yellow Tulip Project (YTP) with a passion for youth mental health activism. Holding a BA in both Screen Studies and Culture Studies from Clark University ’17, DerSimonian understands the importance of youth agency in narrative storytelling–and is fiercely dedicated to uplifting those voices in the pursuit of intergenerational and culturally competent mental health awareness.

“Let’s Talk” is a bi-monthly virtual conversation series which fosters a supportive space for educators, volunteers, community members, and youth Ambassadors to connect, learn, and take action within the youth mental health sphere.
